from what I understand of it, the only way this would work for her is if she keeps control over her existing connections in the camps and does what she wants with them. she's not about to let us take over, and she's resisting the idea of working with us in partnership. she is in charge of her people, and I don't see her giving that up. even if we send her to ireland or france, she'd probably rather let dogstar die than have someone else in charge who won't do things her way.

so what we're looking at is more of the same. she goes back to dogstar, we stay in our circles. she keeps doing what she has been, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and maybe, and this is a big maybe, if we call her and coordinate a large movement in the camps with whatever else we've got planned, she might do it. that's how useful she can be to us. If I could trust her to help us when we needed her. which I don't.

she's a loose cannon, poppy. yes, she wants to overthrow the protectorate, but she doesn't care about the costs or how it's done. and she's kept very quiet about how she thinks things should look after the dust settles too. I get the idea she doesn't care if she leaves england broken beyond repair, or if she has to kill a hundred innocent people to get to the one she wants the most.

I told her that grabbing power through fear and terrorism sounds an awful lot like what the bastards we've got running things right now did to get there. let's just say we've got some pretty big differences in how we think the world works.

right now, dogstar doesn't have a functioning head. their numbers are down, there's confusion and fragmentation. we could take advantage and see what recruiting we could do without her help. because things are so uncertain for them, we've got a greater chance than we ever had of picking up where she left off, and if she's not a part of it any more, we'll have more control over what they're doing and how they're doing it.
